'Selected Events' 2010 – Additional guests & after-show events

Dallas : We are delighted to have persuaded Joe Richardson to play a set at Recoil’s event at Trees (details below). Those who attended events earlier this year in Austin & New York will have witnessed how Joe really engages with the audience, telling stories about his work with Alan on ‘subHuman’ and playing some unplugged-style tunes from that album. But mostly listeners will attest to his fantastic skills as a blues guitarist and singer. We can tell you it’s a real treat to experience this highly talented musician.

As an additional bonus, also in Dallas, there will be a set from Christopher Anton (ex Information Society). Christopher has just released his first ever solo album entitled ‘Destination: X’ on Mirror Piece Records. He has been working on the album with producer Nick Tutone since 2008. The pair, along with band mate Donna Jean scored a substantial club hit with their remake of the Visage classic ‘Fade to Grey’ earlier this year. Find out more here: www.christopheranton.net

Dresden : Further to the addition of Gary Numan & Ade Fenton, Hamburg band Sono have now been added to the bill for this event. Sono emerged in 2001 and consist of Lennart A. Salomon (vocals, guitar), Florian Sikorski (keyboards) and Martin Weiland (keyboards, DJ). We are very happy to have them along as yet another exclusive guest on the ever-expanding ‘Selected’ tour. San Francisco : We have details of an afterparty following Recoil’s show at Mezzanine on 21st October – presented by Sex + Design, ‘Jezebel‘ features DJ Thomas Diablo and a ‘Midnight Steampunk Burlesque’ courtesy of Vau De Vire Society. No, we’re not sure what a ‘Steampunk Burlesque’ is either but it sounds intriguing! Alan will be in attendance to meet everyone and conduct a signing session. Entrance is free for those that attend the Recoil performance.
