‘A STRANGE HOUR IN BUDAPEST’ : ‘SHOW ME YOURS’ – AND WIN A PRIZE!
We have 5 signed original artwork proofs to give away in a new competition. It is VERY easy to enter. All you have to do, when you receive your Blu-ray, is to take a photograph of yourself holding or displaying your prized possession. Post it to your own Facebook page and to the Recoil FB page. Don’t forget to share the post with your friends so that it definitely gets seen. Better still, upload it as your Timeline image so that an automatic post is created. (Note : Timeline widescreen images are optimised at 843 x 403 pixels)
The photograph can be in any setting you like as long as it clearly shows you holding or displaying the Blu-ray package (open or closed) with or without any of the accompanying items such as the USB stick or T shirt if you like. Maybe you prefer to make a collage of images, we don’t mind – we just want it to be creative and unique to you, the purchaser. And… we get to see who exactly what you look like!
Alan will choose his favourites and, if chosen, we will contact you and reward the 5 best photographs with these unique collectable pieces of art, each signed by Alan Wilder. The proofs in question were printed in Hungary as tests to form part of the final 16-page booklet designed by Ákos Szénási.
Submissions will be accepted until November 30th. The winners will be announced after that and the images displayed at Recoil’s Facebook page.
If you want to learn more about the manufacturing, have a look at the short film from the printing house. The film was shot by Ákos Szénási, artwork director for the release. See how the cover, booklet proof sheets and final art pressings came together. You can also view more photographs here.
